Order AVP, FIVB, and Olympics Beach Volleyball DVDs!
Events going back to the late 80's, including the "good old days" of the AVP when the
court was full size, there were no "let" serves, and the game didn't end until
one team actually got a two-point lead (no rally clock!!)
This page contains a list of AVP Pro Beach
Volleyball Videos that I have available for reproduction, plus Olympics Beach
Volleyball, and FIVB events from more recent years. Copies of events
are free, though I do charge a nominal amount for my time, the recordable DVD
media, postage, and handling. Prices vary depending on how many are
ordered, but the per-disc price definitely drops considerably once you get past
3 or 4. Each DVD is recorded at varying length, usually no more than 120 minutes
per disc to retain optimal quality. Most DVDs will have one event, except
for some of the shorter events or 30 minute DiG episodes.
Keep in mind that most of the older original
recordings (from 2001 and earlier) were recorded on VHS tape in 6 hour mode, so
some are a little bit grainy. And the tapes from the early 1990s were dubbed quite a few times since originally recorded.
I re-mastered everything to DVD/digital files in 2002/2003 (to prevent further degradation of
the original recording by playing again and again), so fortunately there is no further
degradation due to aging or re-copying. The quality is actually very good, even for the
older events, but it is not going to look like a brand-new digital
recording (for obvious reasons) I have not had a single complaint in
regard to the quality, and I still enjoy watching these events from time to
time. And actually, the grainy-ness of these recording adds to the
"nostalgia" factor, IMO.
